Kick for All Kickball is Underway!
Updated: Jul 27
A day that started with sixty-plus ideas, then narrowed to down to two, and then to one, has shaped to be an innovative, inclusive, and un program for ALL!

Kelley School Students, Newark, NY. Ranging from 3rd through 5th grade!
This group of Kelley School students partnered with The Future Run the Streets this past fall at their first go at a Future Forum and developed insightful ideas ranging from low-cost BMX racing, to water days, to settling on Kick for All Kickball. Their intent was beyond just kickball, but they wanted to be mindful of the following:
Cost: They were insistent that the program needed to be free to ensure that there were no financial barriers impacting participation.
Transportation: This league has a new term they coined called, "Scatter-Style". For playing, the teams switch up so they get a change to meet new friends and coaches each week. In addition, they wanted to travel to different parks in the community to ensure that all students would have a chance to get to games certain weeks if the park was near them and transportation was an issue.
Inclusivity: The main message they wanted to send was that no matter ones ability, experience, or barriers they may face, this program is for THEM!
The league began this past summer and has been amazing to see! Many of these members of The Future participating and calling the shots each day!
A round of applause to these members of The Future and the Newark Street!
